    The master thesis shows the assessment of the possibilities and profitability of micro-hydro in a given location, the existing weir at the Wirowa river, next to the water reservoir in Stary Lubliniec. Includes environmental, social, technical and legal conditions related to the planned investment. Designated flows in the river were used to determine the energetic parameters of the planned micro-hydro, such as head, nominal flow. For these parameters matched two turbines. In variant I - Kaplan turbine, the second-Archimedean. Power and annual production of electricity has been calculated, for these two types of turbines. Cost-effectiveness analysis was presented by means of indicators of economic efficiency. In addition, designated ecological effect of the investment.
