    This master’s thesis analyzes the speed of migration of nitrogen compounds within the vadose zone. For the realization of the topic were used data based on lysimeters research which was realized in the Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology of the University of Science and Technology in Cracow. Data from the period 01.07.2010 - 20.06.2012. The test consists four lysimeters gravity and 3 rain gauges and air temperature sensor. All lysimeters filled with medium sand from three different quarries. These results allowed us to determine the water balance components. Average time migration of contaminants was based on empirical formulas and models. The paper presents the conversion of the chemical composition of the water by infiltration.
