Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Chłodzenie powietrza małogabarytowymi wodnymi chłodnicami ścianowymi(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Filek, Krzysztof; Franczuk, Waldemar; Łuska, Piotr; Nowak, Bernard; Roszkowski, JanuszThe results of measurements of cooling water temperature and temperature and humidity of cooled air, which were taken in longwall no. 3 of seam no. 502 at part J in »Śląsk« Colliery during the operation of a unit consisting of 4 small-sized diaphragm water air coolers (these are the first units of this kind in Poland) are presented in this paper. Themeasurement results of heat power for each air-cooler, temperature and specific humidity of cooled air were compared to calculation results, which were obtained on the basis of the equations presented in the paper. The research was conducted for two variants of air-coolers’ connection to a water pipe – in series (variant A) and in series – parallel (variant B). The results of calculations and measurements are presented in the tables and the graphs. The conducted research allows to determine that total heat power of four air-coolers is within limits 120130 kW. The greater power of the system with a series-parallel coolers’ connection can be observed in the form of a slightly lower air temperature in the longwall, behind the outlet of the longwall air temperature was reduced by 2.2°C (variant A) and 2.8°C (variant B) in comparison with the situation without cooling.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Chłodzenie powietrza w wyrobiskach chłodziarką sprężarkową o działaniu bezpośrednim(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Branny, Marian; Filek, Krzysztof; Swolkień, JustynaProblem of air-cooling in blind headings with duct, exhausting systems of ventilation is considered. Performance of two types of compression refrigerators were tested. Calculations were made for different volume flows of air through evaporator and for different air temperatures in heading. Parameters of cooled air and cooling power of evaporators were calculated using mathematical model of compression refrigerator developed in [1]. The results of calculations are presented in the form of plots and tables. Cooling power of evaporators and its division on sensible and latent part was shown on diagrams.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Eksperymentalne badania pracy górniczych sprężarkowych chłodziarek powietrza współpracujących z wyparnymi chłodnicami wody(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Nowak, Bernard; Filek, Krzysztof; Łuska, PiotrMeasurement results of the work parameters applied to two types of air refrigerators: DV-290 and TS-300B located in underground mines and used by two evaporative water coolers: RK-450 and CWW-420 are presented in this paper. Parameters of the mass or the capacity flows were measured as well as the inlets and the outlets' temperature of the diaphragmatic exchangers - evaporators, condensers and evaporated water coolers for all of the mediums occured in the system - air, water, atmospheric pressure and the refrigerating medium. The air moisture was measured using the dry and wet bulb thermometer. Thermal power of all of the exchangers was determined on the basis of the results of the experiments. Experimentally, a thermal power of evaporator was defined, as figure of cooling merit. Measurements were carried out on test stand for refrigerator work with three different pro-ecological refrigerants - R404A, R407C and R507. For that purpose, it was achieved the measurements of temperature and humidity of air before and after cooling, and rate of air flow through evaporator. In amount, cooling of air in 108 different variants were studied - 36 for each mentioned refrigerant. Particular variants of studies were differed in input conditions - state of cooling air and rate of air flow. Making measurements for different refrigerants were kept up equal input conditions in suited variants. Temperature of air before evaporator was kept up on three levels, its relative humidity - on three levels, too, efficiency of flow - on four levels. Results of those studies in form of thermal power of evaporator, which was enumerated on the basis of measurements, are presented in table, whereas on charts are shown separately results for each flow efficiency. Obtained results of studies allowed to estimate a quality of air cooling by refrigerator in dependence on using refrigerant.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Statystyczne wskaźniki oceny jakości pracy chłodziarki DV-290(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Nowak, Bernard; Filek, Krzysztof; Kuczera, Zbigniew; Łuczak, Rafał; Ptaszyński, Bogusław; Życzkowski, PiotrIn this article, on the basis of statistical analysis, quality indicators of work of air refrigerator DV-290 with evaporative water cooler RK-450 were shown. The quality indicators were designated from the analysis of multiple regression. That calculations based on equations which describe the actual processes taking place in direct action refrigerators cooperating with evaporative water coolers by using multiple regression analysis. Received multiple regression functions, which describe the evaporator thermal power for the two variants with different number of independent variables, are right in the performance of air coolers. Comparison of the proposed statistical models can identify the most practical for using by the mining service. It will allow to choose the liquidation of any discrepancies, which decide about reducing the effectiveness of air cooling.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wartości współczynników wymiany ciepła i masy w wentylatorowej wyparnej chłodnicy wody(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Nowak, Bernard; Filek, Krzysztof; Branny, MarianResults of experimental studies of the performance of fan evaporative type of water coolers are presented in this paper. Tests were conducted with two types of coolers - RK-450 and CWW-420. Parameters of cooled and spray water and of the air were measured. On the base of data collected during laboratory experiments, coefficients of heat and mass exchange were calculated for both tested coolers. Among this coefficient are: overall heat-transfer coefficient through membrane (k), convective heat-transfer coefficient (alpha) and coefficient of mass exchange (P) between spray water and the air. There were determined regression lines and coefficients of linear correlation for k and a in dependence of inlet water temperature. The publication includes the results of the change of temperature and air humidity, which are proceed in the evaporator. 45 variants were tested. This variants were differed in properties (temperature, relative humidity and flow rate through the evaporator). In the work are shown the results of 24 variants, for which the properties of air inlet are the most close to reality (excavations in the underground mines). Moreover, this publication includes the results of numerical calculations of precooled air parameters and the thermal power of evaporator. In this case all results of air parameters before precooling are used as the input data. From mass and enthalpy balances of medium flowing through the cooler (air, cooling water and spraying water) the equations from mathematical model for steady state were introduced; the spread in space character of medium parameter changes in the cooler was not taken into account but its concentrated character and connected with that fact jumping changes were accepted. In the work, the results of example calculations were made by using computer program, which is created on the basis of introduced mathematical equations of cooler description. 27 variants, which are differed from each other in parameter values of medium at the inlet of cooler, were studied. Results of calculations are compiled in a table.
