This is related to the depth of retention and thickness of the exploited deposits (seams), more cohesive and durable rocks, and climatic conditions. The excavation of access and preparatory roadways as well as exploitation under such conditions require specially designed and manufactured machines. In recent years in the Department of Mining, Dressing, and Transport Machine at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, a number of innovative solutions of machines and devices have been developed that can be used to work under difficult mining and geological conditions. This article presents selected solutions of these machines and devices - a mining head for a roadheader with asymmetrical disc tools with a complex motion trajectory, a temporary, mechanized, and walking roadway support, a unique longwall complex with a single-cutting head shearer used for thin coal seam exploitation, and an innovative mining and hauling system for mechanical shaft drilling using a shaft shearer.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Mechanization and automation in the production processes of Polska Grupa Górnicza S.A.(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2021) Horst, Rajmund; Zdziebko, JanIn Polska Grupa Górnicza S.A., actions are still being taken to mechanize and automate work, striving to increase production efficiency and reduce the physical burden on miners. Mechanization of works covers further areas which enable the process of automation of underground mining processes. The article presents the leading solutions in the field of mechanization and automation in mine transport, the mechanization of sharing and auxiliary works, and the remote control of belt conveyors and main switchboards. The article also contains a description of the work carried out which support automation processes: activities in the standardization of the equipment of longwall systems, pressure monitoring of powered supports, wireless communication, electronic identification of production assets, and the visualization of the operating parameters of machines and devices.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Podobieństwa i różnice w zakresie statyki sekcji obudów ścianowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Losiak, Stanisław; Ptak, Jan; Blaschke, JanuszIn the paper schemes of basic group of supports with distribution of loads for three types of units have been presented. It has been demonstrated that schemes with load distribution may be reduced to one collective scheme and a common mathematical description for various types of units may be presented. Application of the common description for testing the characteristics of the units of the same type were discussed. In general, equations for determining the static parameters of the support unit with stretcher cylinder were given. The principles of mathematical description for these units have been given. It has been demonstrated that in the basie scope the units may be presented by one description and in the scope of correction the units may be described by separate relations. Konin Lignite Mine has the most experience in conducting this type of operations due to the fact that a lot more transports of machines have been conducted than in any other lignite mine in Poland. The article demonstrates how to cope with the logistical preparation of the entire operation, both for the preparation of the equipment and the settlement of formal and legal matters.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Współczesne algorytmy sterowania maszyn górnictwa odkrywkowego w przykładach aplikacyjnych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Jabłoński, Mariusz; Anuszczyk, JanThe article discusses the effects of our own service and start-up works, review and projects, carried out in years 2006-2010 in the areas of the of KWB »Bełchatów« quarry and KWB »Turów« quarry. While these work there were made several of studies and analysis of the solutions there were used in both the programming technique, communication and drive systems. Research was focused on the KTZ system machines and their working conditions. All this was supported by graphical verification. Studies carried out in the article consists mainly of inverter drive systems and drive motors control algorithms of the traverse, rotation and lift either using a speed sensor or sensorless. During the research, there was carried out several working tests at working mining machines, and modifications of control algorithms implemented for commercial inverter systems software, PLC and HMI systems responsible for the drive work of testing machine. The main purpose of all the work was reducing of jittering and vibration during machine operation and ensuring a high level of operational reliability of the solutions, improving of mobility and safety.
