    The following report presents the genesis of disorders associated with the occurrence of hard rock mass, and a projected rocks provided to exploitation, based on the example of »Bełchatów« and »Turów« lignite deposits. Described the basic ways of determining the mineability of hard rocks and soil, as well as an attempt to use geomechanical classification of rock formation to assess the operating effects. The next part describes the influence of hard rock mass on the operating effects of bucket wheel excavator.
