Możliwości i uwarunkowania pozyskiwania kruszyw z eksploatacji i przeróbki węgla kamiennego

Extraction and processing of hard coal generates waste. Also waste management is regulated by law. Up till recently the great majority of these waste was used with derelict land reclamation. However, in terms of market end ecology, under the current circumstances of amended and adjusted to UE directives laws, there appear even more new directions of waste recovery. The paper presents suggested changes to the treatment of barren rock and coal output, meant for enrichment processing. It indicates how a Mechanical Coal Processing Plant can - apart form trade coal assortment - produce also aggregate. The road and highways developing program brought to light the problem of lack of aggregate and mineral materials necessary in construction engineering, technical and hydro - technical works connected with road development. Consequently there appeared a great need of searching for new sources of this materials. In this situation, the aggregate production in coal mining becomes a crucial an rational method of acting, resulting additionally in an ecological effect - protection of primal mineral deposits and waste reduction.

Właściwości geotechniczne odpadów górniczych

Przemysł górniczy wytwarza rocznie ogromne ilości odpadów składowanych na zwałowiskach. Ich właściwości, mają ogromne znaczenie w przypadku rozpatrywania ich potencjalnych zastosowań w inżynierii, a co za tym idzie, możliwości ich wykorzystania zamiast składowania. Rozwiązanie takie jest potencjalnie korzystne zarówno z punktu widzenia ochrony środowiska jak również czynników ekonomicznych. W niniejszej pracy, scharakteryzowane zostały parametry geotechniczne i fizyczne odpadów powstających przy eksploatacji węgla kamiennego i brunatnego, takie jak: uziarnienie, wilgotność, gęstość właściwa, kąt tarcia wewnętrznego, spójność oraz ściśliwość. Charakterystyki dokonano na podstawie analizy dostępnej literatury oraz publikacji naukowych. Analiza materiałów wskazuje na bardzo wysoki stopień zróżnicowania parametrów geotechnicznych odpadów, co jednak nie przeszkadza w znalezieniu dla nich licznych zastosowań we współczesnej inżynierii. Zakłady górnicze mogą więc zmniejszać szkodliwy wpływ zwałowisk na środowisko, właśnie poprzez zastosowanie ich m.in. jako budulec lub podłoże budowlane dla obiektów inżynierskich.

Wybrane aspekty projektu dyrektywy dotyczącej gospodarowania odpadami górniczymi

The European Commission has worked on regulating issues of the responsible mine waste streams handling on the European Union territory. As an outcome the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the management of waste from the extractive industries (the MWD Proposal) was published in June 2003. The paper includes a mine waste balance and a list of legal acts being in force which regulate waste problems in Poland and on the EU territory. Subsequently there are outlined the most important aspects of the MWD Proposal as well as indicated problems, which will rise for both mining operators and parties in charge of a supervision on the management of waste from the extractive industries.
