Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaSierra Gorda 3D deposit model has been made using input database from boreholes. Block model has been used to calculate the deposit resources, plotting contour maps of selected levels, and processing a number sections through the deposit. The microscopic studies in both: reflected light and transmitted light have been conducted in the order to better understand a mineralization process. High grade concentration of molybdenum have been recognized in some samples. Selected ore minerals have been tested, chemically using an electron microprobe. Analysis has been consisted of examining the mineral composition of molybdenum in order to detect rhenium compounds. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW pracy charakteryzowano smektyt zmodyfikowany związkami organicznymi z zaadsorbowanymi jonami Mo(VI) i W(VI). Sorbent zmodyfikowano za pomocą surfaktantów: bromku dodecylotrimetyloamoniowego (DDTMA-Br) oraz bromku didodecylodimetyloamoniowego (DDDDMA-Br) w ilości odpowiadającej 1,0 pojemności kationowymiennej (CEC) smektytu. Taki sorbent wykazuje się efektywnością w usuwaniu jonów Mo(VI) i W(VI) z roztworu wodnego. Najlepszym sorbentem okazał się DDTMA-smektyt, który zaadsorbował 387 [mmol/kg] Mo(VI) i 537 [mmol/kg] W(VI). Materiał po sorpcji scharakteryzowano metodą dyfrakcji rentgenowskiej, spektroskopii w podczerwieni, spektroskopii fotoelektronów oraz mikroskopii elektronowej. Na dyfraktogramie stwierdzono obecność pików świadczących o powstaniu nowych faz krystalicznych, które widoczne są na obrazach SEM w postaci krystalicznych skupień lub pokryw na powierzchni sorbentu. Na widmie IR pasma z maksimum w okolicy 840cm-1 oraz 940cm-1 świadczą o obecności wiązań między molibdenem a tlenem, bądź wolframem a tlenem. Na podstawie wyników badań wywnioskowano, iż za mechanizm sorbowania jonów Mo(VI) i W(VI) na organo-smektycie odpowiada krystalizowanie soli nieorganiczno-organicznych w postaci alkiloamoniowych molibdenianów i wolframianów.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Electrochemical codeposition of molybdenum and selenium(2015) Kowalik, Remigiusz; Kutyła, Dawid; Mech, Krzysztof; Wróbel, Mirosław; Tokarski, Tadeusz; Żabiński, PiotrThe electrodeposition of Mo-Se thin films from a sulfate solution containing Na2MoO4 and H2SeO3 was studied. The process of deposition was conducted under potentiostatic conditions on a copper electrode. The effect of potential value, pH, and time of deposition were examined. The deposits were characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, and scanning electron microscopy. The obtained results have shown the possibility of co-deposition of molybdenum and selenium with different stoichiometric ratios.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Research on new Al-Ag-Mo alloys dedicated to wire applications in overhead power lines(AGH University Press, 2023) Grzebinoga, Justyna; Mamala, Andrzej; Ściężor, Wojciech; Kowal, RadosławThe latest research work in the field of electric power systems focuses on the development of new wire materials which will allow the increase of the transmission capacity of power lines currently in use. The reason for this research was the often limited possibilities of continuous and failure-free transmission of electricity. In this paper, the authors present research on a new aluminium-based alloy dedicated for use as a conductive braid in the HTLS cable group. There are many technical solutions for this group of cables on the market, although they are solutions with a number of disadvantages, ranging from their high price, various operational shortcomings, complicated installation techniques, and ending with the risk of monopolistic practices, which is related to the inability to attract several competitive suppliers. The main aim of the research was to develop a new alloy based on aluminium with the addition of silver and molybdenum dedicated for use in special overhead power cables. Experimental research on new materials focused on obtaining the necessary knowledge to produce an overhead wire from these alloys with higher current carrying capacity in relation to the currently used conventional wire materials based on aluminium.
