Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A self-excited acoustical system for stress measurment in a cement plant(2012) Kwaśniewski, Janusz; Dominik, Ireneusz; Lalik, KrzysztofThis paper presents the application of a Self-exited Acoustical System (SAS) for monitoring stress changes in the cement plant. The change in the speed of wave propagation, which is associated with a change in the resonance frequency in the system is caused by the deformation of the examined material. The SAS system is based on this phenomenon and can be used for the indirect measurement of the stress changes in the material.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Devices for measuring ventilation parameters and methane concentration as well as concept of complex monitoring of methane hazard in longwall area(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Mróz, Jerzy; Felka, Dariusz; Broja, Adam; Małachowski, MarcinThis paper discusses the issue of the methane hazard occurring in the longwall areas of hard coal deep mines along with ways of overcoming this hazard. The authors describe devices for measuring the parameters of the underground environment in the exploitation area. Then, they present the results of tests to determine the methane hazard level in the longwall area. The parameters of ventilation-, absolute-, and criteria-methane-bearing capacity are determined based on online measurements of ventilation and gas parameters. The implementation of European environmental policy through a circular economy is described. The importance of access to environmental data and modern measurement techniques in quantitative and qualitative analyses was emphasised. The benefits of using classical methods and deep and reinforcement learning techniques for modelling energy processes were indicated. The use of innovative catalytic and sorptive materials for waste gas purification and carbon dioxide conversion and management is discussed. The importance of identifying and quantifying critical points along the fuel value chain is demonstrated. The importance of investment and regulatory decisions in the decarbonisation process is presented.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The porential for monitoring air parameters in the determination of carbon monoxide sources in light of research projects(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Trenczek, StanisławFirst, a recapitulation is provided of monitoring systems, based on electronic solutions which ensure the reliability of the requisite speed and measurements while intrinsically safe. Subsequently, examples of measurements of the carbon monoxide concentrations emitted by different sources are presented. In the context of the different characteristics of changes in carbon monoxide concentration, the problem of the identification of carbon monoxide source generated during high energy rock burst is discussed. To alt a better understanding of the issue, the conditions of mine development work in areas threatened by bumping hazards as well as mining procedures in seams in this type of hard coal deposit, is presented. Związane one były ze współpracą z energetyką zawodową (OSD, OSP), przemysłem oraz instytucjami działającymi na rzecz rynku energii. Przedstawiono skrótowo przykładowe, wybrane zagadnienia.
