Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analyzing the impact of simulated multispectral images on water classification accuracy by means of spectral characteristics(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Głowienka, Ewa; Michałowska, KrystynaRemote sensing is widely applied in examining the parameters of the state and quality of water. Spectral characteristics of water are strictly connected with the dispersion of electromagnetic radiation by suspended matter and the absorption of radiation by water and chlorophyll a and b. Multispectral sensor ALI has bands within the ranges of electromagnetic radiation: blue and infrared, absent in sensors such as Landsat, SPOT, or Aster. The main goal of the article was to examine the influence of the presence of these bands on water classification accuracy carried out for simulated images ALI, Landsat, Spot, and Aster. The simulation of images was based on the hyperspectral image from a Hyperion sensor. Due to the spectral properties of water, all the operations on the images were carried out for the set of bands in visible and near-infrared (VNIR) spectral range. In the framework of these studies, the impact of removing individual bands or sets of bands on the classification results was tested. Tests were carried out for the area of the water body of the Dobczyce Reservoir. It was observed that the lack of a spectral response in the infrared range of ALI image can reduce the accuracy of a classification by as much as 60%. On the other hand, the lack of blue and red bands in the dataset for the classification decreased the accuracy of water classification by 15% and 10%, respectively.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Identyfikacja zmian zagospodarowania terenu na obszarach górniczych na podstawie analizy obrazów Landsat(Data obrony: 2013-10-09) Filipiak, Małgorzata
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe objective of the thesis is to identify the changes in the land cover of mining sites based on the analysis of multispectral images acquired from Landsat 7 satellite. Data was used to assess the environment condition as well as any anthropological changes that occurred in the area of north-eastern part of Upper Silesian Coal Basin. The entry data used in this work include images from 1999 until 2011. The tools used for the analysis include creating colour composite images (RGB), supervised classification method and remote sensing indicators, which are NDVI and Tasseled Cap. The obtained results of the indicato analysis as well as supervised classification method are not satisfactory. This may lead to a conclusion that conducting the analysis of such a vast area is connected with high error rates. The major obstacle in the way of obtaining reliable results was the error caused by the malfunction of Landsat 7 satellite scanner. Images contain horizontal lines with no data (which lack information). Another reason for unsatisfactory outcome were meteorological conditions included in the images. The performer study showed that the geostatistical methods normalny used to interpolate reflectance values do not solve problems arising from failure of SLC system.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Lithological and structural mapping of the Sorbas area (Baetic Mts., prov. Almería, Spain) based on remotely sensed images(Data obrony: 2017-07-07) Tarka, Weronika
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaDigitally enhanced Landsat 8 images were applied for geological mapping of Sorbas Area in Almeria Province, SE Spain. The terrain without abundant vegetation, with semiarid landscape is promising for remote sensing research. For this study multispectral images were processed and analysed. On the basis of the classification, main lithological units were distinguished, with overall agreement with the reference data of 15,127%. The results are subject to discussion about the utility and limitations of remote sensing method on the study area. Further complimentary studies may be useful. Finally, problems encountered during classification must be factored into the overall accuracy.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Porównanie wyniku klasyfikacji nadzorowanej obrazów satelitarnych LANDSAT 7 z danymi Urban Atlas(Data obrony: 2013-01-19) Jedlińska, Sandra

Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThesis is based on the analysis of remote sensing, multispectral satellite images from Landsat ETM+ and analysis of digital elevation model from ASTER satellite. Pictures were series of mathematical operations and activities, the result of which are teledetection maps showing the occurrence of vegetation, rock outcrop and anthropogenic land. The results have been likened to geological and topographic maps to verify their compliance. The resulting maps show a compatibility with the base. Thesis also presents enormous prospects for expansions to map and analyze the presented methodsItem type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Sprzętowo-programowy system wizyjny do detekcji obiektów z wykorzystaniem termowizji(Data obrony: 2018-04-27) Kańka, Tomasz

Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaWieloczasowa analiza wilgotności z wykorzystaniem metod teledetekcji satelitarnej została przeprowadzona z wykorzystaniem zdjęć wielospektralnych. Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Wykonanie i weryfikacja mapy użytkowania terenu na podstawie satelitarnych zobrazowań wielospektralnych(Data obrony: 2013-01-19) Szlapińska, Sylwia
