Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analiza przebiegu procesów osuwiskowych w oparciu o procedurę »automatic rezoning« w programie FLAC v. 6.0(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Cała, Marek; Kowalski, Michał; Betlej, MichałThis paper shows the possibilities of using automatic rezoning function for analysis of evolution of landslide process in slope. Conventional slope stability analysis produces only the value of factor of safety and it's restricted potential failure surface location. The landslide evolution process or final geometry of stabilized landslide are not concerned. In order to analyse evolution of landslide, the large strain mode should be applied. That results in large distortions of grid. It doesn't allow problem solving after some cycles due to bad zone geometry. In order to continue solving, some actual parameters like stresses, velocities, displacements etc. must be remapped to form old distorted grid into new, more regular one. After series of these remaps, in continuous solving process, full evolution of landslide process may investigated, what was shown in this paper on chosen examples.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Metody optymalizacji kodu zarządzanego dla wybranych zagadnień obliczeń numerycznych(Data obrony: 2012-07-10) Kniotek, Michał
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe subject of this paper is to optimize the code that runs in a virtual machine environments. Issues raised can be used especially in the numerical calculations, which are particularly time consuming. In the first chapter presented a description of virtual machine technology and the process of starting the program, with a detailed description of the possible moments of optimization. The next section describes the optimization methods, including the author's method of early exiting from the function. Afterwards describes the results of tests of several presented optimization methods, also the author's methods and results of the optimization method of bisection. In conclusion, the study shows the practical aspect, that is, situations in which code optimization is indicated, as well as those in which it can slow down performance.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Metody optymalizacji kodu zarządzanego dla wybranych zagadnień obliczeń numerycznych(Data obrony: 2011-07-06) Żupnik, Marek
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe object of this paper is to analyze a issue of performance optimization of code which is designed to run on virtual machine environments. Performance optimization is important aspect for code that performs numerical calculations. The first part of this paper focuses on virtual machines technology and basic techniques of code optimization which are usually performed by compilers. The next part presents two non-conventional techniques designed by author which allow to speed up calculation of mathematical operations such as a mantissa of a real number and a metric angle unit conversion from degrees to radians. After that are presented test results of this optimizations which have checked their performance and correctness of generated results. The last part presents tools and techniques which are useful by code optimizing, and tips how to perform optimizations and when it is harmful.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Monitorowanie zmian naprężeń w żeliwnych tubingach metodą elastooptyczną(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Skopiak, Lech; Stachurski, Wacław; Maj, Maria; Piekło, JarosławIn the article the problem of the measurement and determination of the stresses existing in the tubbing lining of the shaft was raised. The investigations were carried out in the P-III and P-V shafts conditions in O/ZG 'Polkowice-Sieroszowice' (KGHM Polska Miedź SA - KGHM Polish Copper in Lubin). Rock mass movements, created by deposit exploitation and dehydration of the water-bearing layers, result in occurring of high forces affecting the shaft lining, especially in picotage tubbing area. It, more often, results in cracking of those and in consequence of that fact causes the partial loss of the load capacity and leakproofness in the sensitive places of the shaft. In connection with that the frequent monitoring of stress changes in chosen picotage rings is necessary. This article presents the investigation method depending on numerical determination of dangerous areas of stress concentration as well as using the photo-elastic strain measurement to periodical observation of those.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Przestrzenna analiza numeryczna wytężenia filarów komór solnych pola eksploatacyjnego Pagory w otworowej Kopalni Soli »Barycz«(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Cieślik, Jerzy; Flisiak, Danuta; Flisiak, Jerzy; Mazurek, JakubThis paper presents results of the three dimensional, geometrical and numerical modeling of cavern layout in the Pagory region of Barycz salt mine excavation region. In the first part of the paper authors perform 3D geological and mining situation geometrical model and prepare the whole region cavern representation. The stress and strength distribution maps obtained from numerical analysis allowed evaluation of strength of the salt pillars and regions of high probability of caverns hydraulic connectivity. Finally, a numerical calculations result was compared with mining caverns hydraulic connectivity investigations.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Strain distribution in cogging process of ingots with internal discontinuities(2009) Chyła, Paweł; Łukaszek-Sołek, Aneta; Sińczak, JanIn this paper is presented analysis of cogging process of the 16 Mg ingot in the three-dimensional state of deformation, using commercial program QForm 3D to valuate effective strain distribution. Additionally voids closing were analysed, which were purposely inserted (various diameters and shapes) in selected areas. Numerical calculations were carried out for two following processes: upsetting of the reforged ingot and cogging process. Cogging operation of reforged material was simulated according to two schedules from the head and the bottom side of the ingot. As a criterion of valuation of the cogging process with flat dies were accepted maps of effective strain distribution.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The forging process of aircraft engines turbine blades(2010) Sińczak, Jan; Łukaszek-Sołek, Aneta; Bednarek, Sylwia; Chyła, PawełThe aim of this paper was to obtain information about optimum conditions of the forging process of a blade made from high-temperature creep resisting alloy called Inconel 718. A three-dimensional rigid-plastic finite element method (FEM) of forging process of high-pressure compressor rotor's blade analysis has been performed. Various forging process variants were analysed, including isothermal conditions.
