    In the work numerical modeling of fault identification in the coal seam using seismic method was carried out. The physical model was built by two layers: coal seam and sandstone. Faults in the coal seam with different throws were modeled. Modeling was done in 2D in the elastic-plastic medium Mohr-Coulomb criterium. The results display significant impact of fault for waveform changes. Frequencies of seismic wave change after passing through fault. The calculations was done by the help of FLAC version 5.0.
