Identyfikacja zmian zagospodarowania terenu na obszarach górniczych na podstawie analizy obrazów Landsat

The objective of the thesis is to identify the changes in the land cover of mining sites based on the analysis of multispectral images acquired from Landsat 7 satellite. Data was used to assess the environment condition as well as any anthropological changes that occurred in the area of north-eastern part of Upper Silesian Coal Basin. The entry data used in this work include images from 1999 until 2011. The tools used for the analysis include creating colour composite images (RGB), supervised classification method and remote sensing indicators, which are NDVI and Tasseled Cap. The obtained results of the indicato analysis as well as supervised classification method are not satisfactory. This may lead to a conclusion that conducting the analysis of such a vast area is connected with high error rates. The major obstacle in the way of obtaining reliable results was the error caused by the malfunction of Landsat 7 satellite scanner. Images contain horizontal lines with no data (which lack information). Another reason for unsatisfactory outcome were meteorological conditions included in the images. The performer study showed that the geostatistical methods normalny used to interpolate reflectance values do not solve problems arising from failure of SLC system.
