    The aim of the thesis was determination of geotechnical parameters of rock masses for Road engineering near Stare Bogaczowice – where construction of two tunnels is planned. Near the planned tunnel’s localization seven geotechnical holes were bored and seismic refraction investigations were carried on. After processing of seismic data were made rock mass models (seismic layers) and parameters were calculated. In the thesis was discussed the correlation between geophysical results and geotechnical data. The rock mass were classified with its usability as a bedrock for the road engineering. The end of the thesis is an opinion about usefulness of geophysical methods to estimate a parameters of rock masses.
