Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaConsideration of resolution and depth of penetration play an important role in the interpretation of geoelectrical data. Resolution of two geoeletrical methods - electrical resistivity tomography and penetrometer-based resistivity profiling – is compared in the paper. Comparative analysis included an interpretation of the field data as well as numerical modellings. It has been proved that using the electrical resistivity tomography in combination with the penetrometer-based resistivity profiling method makes it possible to recognize the geological centre with more accuracy.
