One type of pollution is the noise that is generated by technological apparatus. It is necessary to develop new tools that will be able to survey noise in large industrial areas. This paper presents a concept of using unmanned aerial vehicles to generate acoustic maps of a surveyed area. One of the tools that is required for this purpose is aerial photogrammetry, which is used to generate a numerical terrain model from a series of photographs. The methodology and results of the simulation study of the effect of the data-acquisition-process parameters (flight altitude and transverse and longitudinal overlay levels of images) on the quality of the generated numerical terrain model and the generating time are presented in this paper.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Fotogrametria i teledetekcja w europejskich programach geinformacyjnych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Linsenbarth, AdamThe policy of the European Union must be based on condense and up-to date spatial information, necessary both to create the policy of the European Union as well as to implement and monitor the resolutions resulting from the directives of the Union. Two programmes of the European Union meet these expectations. These are INSPIRE and GMES programme. This article presents these programmes, focussing of the role of photogrammetry and remote sensing. The work on the project of the INSPIRE programme, referring to the European Infrastructure of Spatial Data started at the end of 1990s. As the result of the activities of the Group of Experts of programme INSPIRE and several Working Groups, preliminary premises for the INSPIRE programme were made. The result of this work was making the project of the Directive INSPIRE, which, on 23rd July 2004 was submitted to the Parliament and Council of the European Union for the legislation process. As the result of the work done in both these bodies, a document was issued. The title of the document was: Common Statement of the Council. The term of voting is June 2006, at the plenary session of the European Parliament. According to this document, the basic source of terrain information should be satellite or airborne orthophotomaps. Programme GMES (Global Monitoring of Environment and Security) realized by the European Commission and European Space Agency refers to permanent monitoring of our continent and mainly the use of Earth and large city agglomerations. Main source of information in this programme will be medium and high resolution satellite images.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Metodyka korzystania z baz danych Wielojęzycznego Interdyscyplinarnego Terminologicznego Słownika i Leksykonu Geoinformatycznego Komisji Geoinformatyki PAU za pośrednictwem internetu(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Jachimski, Józef; Mikrut, Sławomir; Twardowski, MariuszThe fast development of computer science oriented on capturing, processing and distribution of geoinformation (geoinformatics), which has applications in many technical and natural disciplines of science and technique, calls for urgent unification of professional terminology - for terminological dictionary. Photogrammetric studies based on UAV data, thanks to the significant development of computer vision techniques, photogrammetry, and equipment miniaturization, allow sufficient accuracy for many engineering and non-engineering applications to be achieved. In addition to accuracy, development time and cost of data acquisition and processing are also important issues. The aim of this paper is to present potential limitations in the use of UAVs to acquire measurement data and to present measurement and processing techniques affecting the optimisation of work both in terms of accuracy and economy. Issues related to the type of drones used (multi-rotor, fixed-wing), type of shutter in the camera (rolling shutter, global shutter), camera calibration method (pre-calibration, self-calibration), georeferencing method (direct, indirect), technique of measuring the external images orientation parameters (RTK, PPK, PPP), flight design methods and the type of software used were analysed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Photogrammetric and laser scanning data integration(2009) Mikrut, SławomirThe subject of research included integration of laser scanning data with photogrammetric data, and an attempt at identifying the 'bottlenecks' in available technologies, and offering proposals for solving them. The research was conducted based on an exemplary facility, located in the Ethnographic Park of the Village Museum at Tokarnia, Poland. One of the museum exhibits, a windmill, was utilised as a test field, as there was a good access to it, as well as because of certain, expected complications related to processing parts of the windmill, such as e.g. penthouses. The research employed a Z-F Zoller-Fröhlich, model IMAGER 5006 laser scanner, a Rollei 6008 digital photogrammetric camera, a TCR 405 POWER prismless total station, RealWorks Survey Advanced, Photomodeler and Dephos software, as well as own algorithms, collected in the authorial feature extraction software (FES). In this paper, a certain pattern of integration of photogrammetric data with a point cloud was proposed. It was based on that pattern, that the exemplary project was developed. Also, an attempt was made at improving the quality of integration though the use of algorithms of sub-pixel edging of data, both in the digital image, and in the point cloud. The so-developed methodology is useful, not only when surveying historic buildings and structures. It can also be applied in the course of works related to the surveys of buildings, industrial facilities, boring towers, etc. Also known are non-typical applications of the method, which include e.g. the survey of a post- accident condition conducted by the police on the accident spot, as well as a whole array of applications of the air scanning, which (due to their extensive scope) have not been included in this paper. The completed experiments as well as data from the literature on the subject make it possible to declare that the results of the use of photogrammetry combined with laser scanning are promising. This is a quick and an efficient technology. Owing to scanning, we can obtain a very large amount of data, while photogrammetry provides radiometric data of a high quality. That combination seems to be indispensable in near future, and one may expect it will quickly be developing.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Porównanie dokładności metod wyznaczania punktów charakterystycznych na parach zdjęć lotniczych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Pawlik, Piotr; Mikrut, SławomirTo solve the problem with two corresponding points on digital air images some different algorithms were developed. In this paper the authors tried to compare some methods. The methods such as: SIFT, Harris, Hesjan were tested and implemented. The experiments were based on real air images (air photography), which have been taken in two different scales. To estimation the accuracy, the parameters such as : mean parallax on the model, number of matching points and their position, were used. The results show the similarity between the methods, but depending on kind of photography (the texture of the image).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Possibilities of taking measurement photos with camera from board of radio-controlled hang-glider model(2008) Zdanowicz, KrzysztofW pracy przedstawiono wyniki fotogrametrycznego opracowania zdjęć niskopułapowych, pozyskanych za pomocą sterowanego drogą radiową modelu motolotni z zainstalowaną amatorską małoobrazkową kamerą fotograficzną. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Rozwój metod opracowania i analiza przydatności ortofotomap - doświadczenia Zakładu Fotogrametrii AGH(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Sitek, Zbigniew; Mierzwa, Władysław; Pyka, Krystian ; Wróbel, AndrzejThe Department of Photogrammetry, AGH possesses great experience in making orthophotomaps from surface, airborne and satellite images. Apart from the very methodology of making orthophotomaps, their usefulness in the inventory of architectural and industrial objects was analysed as the base for the up-dating of the main map, inventory of grounds and buildings, and recently - the definition of the surfaces of plantations within the control of farmers' subsidies. The article presents the most interesting research and implementation studies referring to orthophotomaps done in the Department of Photogrammetry, AGH.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Struktura bazy danych Wielojęzycznego, Interdyscyplinarnego Terminologicznego Słownika i Leksykonu Geoinformatycznego Komisji Geoinformatyki PAU(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Jachimski, Józef; Mikrut, Sławomir; Majewski, MichałCommission for Geoinformatics of the Polish Academy of Science and Arts (KG PAU) in Kraków, has been formed in 1998. That commission gathers scientists of many disciplines, such as geology, geophysics, environmental engineering and protection, mining, surveying and geodesy, geography, cartography, GIS, and, of course, photogrammetry and remote sensing and computer sciences (informatics). AU that specialists, devoting their special interest to geoinformatics, found out, just at the very beginning of their cooperation, that they do not speak the same technical and scientific language concerning geoinformatics. Finally that was decided to work out a dictionary, which could help people of geoinformatics from various disciplines to use the identical vocabulary. The work is split to thematic teams, which, working independently, but in a contact with each other, build a final product: The Multilingual, Interdisciplinary Terminological Dictionary for Geoinformatics, a very important project of the KG PAU. The Dictionary will be build up in the open formulae, using internet. AU the work stages will be public, available on the www pages. To the editorial process will be admitted also volunteers, who, under care and in cooperation with the responsible editors will help to build the dictionary data base. The internet program for editing the Dictionary, in an experimental version, is available for use. We hope to have our dictionary data base soon filled with new entries, definitions, and longer descriptions of many terms used in geoinformatics.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The UAV Technology as a Future-Oriented Direction in the Development of Low-Ceiling Aerial Photogrammetry(2013) Mikrut, Sławomir; Głowienka-Mikrut, Ewa; Michałowska, KrystynaThe paper reviews current issues related to UAV flights. The selection process is necessary to determine if the aerial image is suitable for next stages of photogrammetric processing, especially for matching. More than 900 image signatures (of length 25 and 50) was generated by the ICM network. The backpropagation network was used for classification. After learning the recognition rate of the test set was 73%. As the next step three recognition reliability thresholds was tested. After data rejection both recognition reliabilities and recognition rates were improved (?80%).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Verification of the geometrical representation of buildings in cadastre using UAV photogrammetry(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2021) Karabin, Marcin; Bakuła, Krzysztof; Łuczyński, RobertThe aim of this study was to determine the potential benefits of using UAV-based data to verify the accuracy of the geometry of the outlines of buildings registered in a cadastral database, and to investigate the potential use of data from UAV platforms in measuring the buildings. The authors examined whether the acquisition of data from UAVs can replace field measurements or only support them. The advantages and disadvantages of such data acquisition methods, compared with more well-established measurement methods, were identified.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wykorzystanie sieci Kohonena do selekcji podobrazów na potrzeby dopasowania zdjęć lotniczych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Czechowicz, Anna; Mikrut, ZbigniewAutomatic relative orientation is one of the key problems in photogrammetric processing. This paper concerns the application of the representation based on the gradient distribution and Kohonen neural networks for the selection of sub-images for aerial photographs matching purposes. The examinations were conducted over 904 sub-images of the aerial photographs of the Krakow's surroundings with different land cover, grouped into three categories: advantageous, nondescript and disadvantageous in respect of searching features for relative orientation. The 2D histogram was acquired for every sub-image and on this basis the representation in form of the vector of maximum values for gradient direction has been determined. This representation was utilized for the classification of areas with Kohonen network. The correctness of the obtained classification, compared to manually done, achieved the Ievel of 68,3%.
