    Pierwiastki krytyczne w nadkładzie złoża węgla brunatnego „Bełchatów”

    „Critical elements” are fundamental element in development of new technology. In this paper presented findings made on sand samples from overburden of KWB Bełchatów – Szczerców Field. Basing on this studies, it was found that most of samples contain only quartz. There are quite a number of minerals, such as: ilmenite, magnetite, zircon, titanum oxides and pyrite. In few samples were observed: garnets, hematite, goethite, tourmaline and titanite. Research shown that only in Quaternary sands occurred small quantities of critical elements, but they don’t have any economic value.
