    The dissertation attempts to estimate the pollution on the playgrounds area caused by animals and the effects it has on people, especially children In animals feces there are multiple pathogens i.a. parasite or protozoa. Samples of soil and sand from the area of districts: XV-Mistrzejowice oraz XVI-Bieńczyce in Kraków have been collected. The researches was conducted during the fall and spring time, when the weather conditions enabled usage of all the equipment available on the playgrounds. Scrutiny of samples in question was performed using the indirect method by determining the nitrate content using Kjedahla method. The presence of these compounds in the soil may indicate contamination of zoonoses.
