Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Dimensions of plots belonging to out-of-village owners in the village of Będziemyśl, commune of Sędziszów Małopolski(2015) Leń, Przemysław; Matysek, Izabela; Kovalyshyn, OleksandraThe occurrence of plot patchwork is one of significant factors having a negative influence on the organization and level of agricultural production. Those plots are located within the area of a village where their owners live but they can be also found beyond it. Grounds located in the external plot patchwork are in the possession of villagers as well as of commune and town dwellers. Inhabitants of administrative, service, industrial or cultural and educational centres are mainly legal heirs of parents who lived in the country or emigrated to cities. However, it is necessary to mention non-resident owners who have bought building lots in the countryside due to attractive location and prices [4]. Research was carried out in the locality of Będziemyśl situated in the commune of Sędziszów Małopolski. It is a village which is located 18 km away from the voivodship town of Rzeszów, 16 km away from the poviat town of Ropczyce and 8 km away from the commune locality of Sędziszów Małopolski.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The analysis of the network of roads servicing fields as illustrated by the village of Piątkowa(2016) Leń, Przemysław; Winiarska, NataliaAt the time when a horse-drawn carriage was used for field works and transport, navigating narrow unpaved roads did not present any significant difficulty. The problems related to the use of these roads emerged together with the rapid technological progress. The use of big modern agricultural machinery required the expanding and paving of these roads, which could be made possible thanks to the land consolidation. The existing condition of roads providing direct access to the fields of Piątkowa is, to a certain degree, the result of the consolidation. Roads used by agricultural transport are part of the land infrastructure determining the development of a given area. It is therefore essential to shape these road networks in a proper manner ensuring the access to individual fields, plots as well as to individual farmers’ households. The analysis of the road network has been carried out with the use of the QGIS programme, distance measuring tools and a spatial query plugin which facilitates the spatial analysis. The employment of this method as well as the preparation of photographic documentation enabled the comprehensive analysis of road networks.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The impact of socio-economic factors on the size of the external plot patchwork - a case study of Brzustowiec village, in the łódzkie voivodship(2016) Leń, Przemysław; Mika, MonikaSzachownica gruntów jest jednym z istotnych czynników wywierających ujemny wpływ zarówno na organizację, jak i poziom produkcji rolniczej.
