This article presents selected research directions pursued at the AGH University of Krakow, focused on issues related to energy storage and the operation of storage systems. Some chapters contain independent studies addressing a broad spectrum of technological and engineering challenges. These include aspects of electrochemical, material, thermal, geothermal, mechanical, and power systems. The article is interdisciplinary, application-oriented, and implementation-focused. It emphasizes the importance of conducting research on the development and integration of advanced energy storage technologies and innovative technical solutions tailored to the needs and challenges of modern power systems.
