Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Diagenesis and reservoir properties of the Main Dolomite (Ca2) rocks in geological profiles of selected boreholes, Polish Lowland(Data obrony: 2017-09-04) Górka, Joanna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaMicrofacial and diagenetic studies of the three Main Dolomite profiles (Ca2) in the Polish Lowland was carried out. Two of the analyzed profiles (Struga-1, Piotry-1) are located on the carbonate platform. In these profiles dolomites represent three microfacies: skeletal dolomudstone and dolowackstone-packstone as well as crystalline dolomite. The third profile (Sieraków-1) is situated in platform barrier and consists of ooid-peloid dolograinstone-packstone, doloboundstone, peloidal dolofloatstone-rudstone and crystalline dolomite. Two stages of diagenesis were distinguished: eodiagenesis - associated with the progressive shallow burial and mesodiagenesis, which played a much greater role in forming of the reservoir properties of the rocks. At this stage, the aggrading neomorphism, chemical compaction and cementation affected the rocks. In some places fractures were formed. In connection with the pressure solution structures, they resulted in potential hydrocarbon migration pathways.
