Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Krystalochemiczne przyczyny wpływu podstawień izomorficznych $F$, $Cl$ i $Br$ w apatytach ołowiowych na strukturę i właściwości minerałów(Data obrony: 2014-09-24) Witkowska, Małgorzata
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaPyromorphite $Pb_{5}(PO_{4})_{3}Cl$, mimetite $Pb_{5}(AsO_{4})_{3}Cl$ and vanadinite $Pb_{5}(VO_{4})_{3}Cl$ belong to lead apatite’s group, occurring in the oxidation zones of $Pb$ deposits. The unique crystal structure of these minerals allow for substitutions at both cationic and anionic positions. Therefore, these minerals are widely used in many fields of science and technology. This includes applications for immobilization of toxic forms of $Pb$ and $As$ in the environment. To date, mostly cationic substitutions of $Ca$, $Pb$, $Sr$ etc. have been studied. Little is known, however, on anionic solid solutions, particularly on systematic changes in the structure and properties due to halogen substitutions in these phases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of isomorphic substitution of $F$, $Cl$ and $Br$ on the structure and properties of lead apatites. The objective was synthesis of halogen-substituted lead apatites in pyromorphite series $Pb_{5}(PO_{4})_{3}(F, Cl, Br)$, mimetite series $Pb_{5}(AsO_{4})_{3}(F, Cl, Br)$, and vanadinite series $Pb_{5}(VO_{4})_{3}(F, Cl, Br)$ followed by calculation of lattice parameters, using UnitCell program, and Raman spectroscopy study.
