Firstly, three eye image acquisition systems were tested and the best solution, a camera with an infrared passing filter and infrared illumination, was chosen. The segmentation and center of mass calculation algorithms were described. A system calibration method was proposed. The design of an infrared illuminator, which allows to obtain the dark and bright pupil effect on the even and odd fields of the video signal. Details considering used segmentation and determination of the center of the pupil algorithms, which allow to generate gaze trajectories, were presented.
