    This elaboration contains information about one procedure of the seismic data processing - inverse Q filtering. It includes problems of seismic attenuation, parameters which describe it and its influence on the seismic signal. This work characterizes the quality factor Q and using it in inverse Q filtering. The increase of the vertical resolution analyzed in my work confirmed by others authors too. The results which I have obtained proved that inverse Q filtering enhances the seismic resolution what we can see on the frequency spectrum, signal/noise ratio and seismic sections.
