Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Assessment of statistical stability of steel strip hot-rolling process(2008) Czarski, AndrzejStatistical methods belong to the basic quality tools. Among statistical instruments the statistical process control SPC takes particular place. One of the principal tasks of SPC is monitoring of a process by means of control charts. They are first of all Shewhart's control charts. The aim of investigations was to assess stability of technological process of hot-rolling of steel strip. There were available the results of thickness measurements madę with an X-ray thickness gauge as well as measurements of convexity and wedge shape made with a profile measurement gauge. The assessment of statistical process stability was performed by means of Shewarfs control charts technique. In case of thickness the estimation of capability indices Cp, Cpk and Pp, Ppk have been carried out, in addition.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Capability process assessment in Six Sigma approach(2007) Czarski, AndrzejStatistical techniques occupy a particular place in the organizational culture Six Sigma that is used in many renowned organizations (Motorola, General Electric, Bombardier, Nokia, Sony, BMW, Philips etc.) in order to achieve in the shortest possible time the highest quality level. In the Six Sigma approach the assessment of a process potential is made relating to client's expectations using long-term and short-term process capability - correspondingly Cp, Cpk and Pp, Ppk. The basis of such an assessment of process capability is partition of the total process variability into two components: the component independent on time (the same material, operator, tools and process setting) and the component dependent on time (caused by e.g. changes oí raw material, process setting etc.). Such a partition oí the variability is necessary, it enables the better understanding of the process and in consequence - its improvement. The aim of research has been the assessment of short-term and long-term capability of the process of drop forgings heat treatment regarding the hardness. The estimation of capability indices Cp, Cpk and Pp, Ppk as well as the detailed interpretation of the results have been carried out.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Elementy diagnostyki i metody oceny stanu konstrukcji budowli podziemnych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Duży, StanisławThe goal of quality analysis is the definition of the quantity and distribution of deviation from design parameters values that characterise the heading. This goal is achieved by measurements of the selected parameters that characterize the construction quality in all of the buildings existence phases. The specification of parameters that characterise the buildings construction workmanship quality is dependent on the character of the analysed construction and the used stability evaluation method. The requirements, in the area of quality in designing, reception attempts, usage and maintenance and the buildings liquidation should be regulated by rules that correspond to the requirements of the PN-IS0 9001-9003 norm. In the article, the requirements in the area of quality management in all phases of the building existence point to the usable methods and tools are discussed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Evaluation of training programs by medical employees in a chosen hospital in Poland(2016) Detyna, Beata; Detyna, Jerzy; Dudek-Kajewska, AnnaThis article contains the results of research on the evaluation of the training offer addressed to the medical staff of one of the largest Polish specialist hospitals. The authors have used surveys addressed to employees: doctors and nurses. On the basis of numeral data received from the respondents, two “quality maps” have been drawn that show the opinion of “white coat” workers (doctors and nurses) about the hospital training offer. This work presents similarities and differences between assessments of doctors and nurses. A short description of the hospital as well as its weaknesses and strengths has been presented. A direction of possible changes has been indicated by the employees. The authors indicate the significance of training programs in order to gain work satisfaction, and the role of the personnel strategy to achieve the objectives. They emphasize the significance of aimed professional development in a health-care-providing institution where knowledge and skills have an influence on the health and lives of patients. Research results showed the validity of the practical use of the quality map in the process of hospital management. This tool allows us to get answers about which areas (according to respondents) carrying out corrective actions are recommended.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Influence of measurement system quality on the evaluation of process capability indices(2012) Czarski, Andrzej; Matusiewicz, PiotrAmong statistical instruments of quality Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) take particular place. The proper quality of measurement data - verification and assurance of this quality are the task of MSA - guarantees an opportunity to carry out a solid SPC analysis supplying information about a process behavior. One of the principal tasks of SPC is estimation of capability of a process i.e. the assessment of process potential as for variability regarding expectations defined by specification limits. Data for analysis of a process capability are the results of measurements made by means of a determined measurement system. The variability of this measurement system must influence the results of capability assessment, however the measurement system adequate to control the process should guarantee that the impact is little enough to be omitted. The subject of the work is the analysis of influence of measurement system variability on evaluation of process capability indices. The mutual relations between process variability and measurement system variability present analytical relationships and experimental research given in the work. The aim of the tests was an assessment of a capability of the process of steel drop forgings' heat treatment relating to a hardness. The methodology demonstrated in the work is valid quality standards compatible (ISO 9000, ISO/TS 16949 etc.).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Research trends and trajectories in quality management in the age of Industry 4.0 – the current state of knowledge(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Czyż-Gwiazda, EwaThis study aims to analyse publication activity and identify development directions of scientific research themes in the area of enterprise quality management in the context of Industry 4.0, based on a bibliometric analysis of scientific literature from the Web of Science and Scopus databases up to the end of 2023. The article employs a systematic literature review method. The research included a bibliometric analysis of scientific literature sourced from the Web of Science and Scopus databases. Based on a predefined combination of keywords, a set of articles was selected, which – after initial screening and justified exclusions – was accepted for further analysis. The study enabled the characterization of, among others, publications production, sources of publications, time of publication, main authors and leading topics. Next, a word co-occurrence analysis and longitudinal thematic map analysis were conducted to examine the research field in depth and to identify research trends and trajectories in quality management in the age of Industry 4.0.The conducted research shows that the number of publications on quality management in the context of Industry 4.0 is constantly growing, and the topics are progressively evolving towards issues such as: the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, digitalization. These technologies are seen as key enablers for enterprises to cope with the growing uncertainty and complexity of the business environment and to achieve a competitive advantage. The study indicates that AI, IoT, big data analytics, and sustainable development are among the most rapidly growing and prominent themes in the literature on quality management in the Industry 4.0 context. Identifying research gaps and potential directions for scientific development in the field of quality management may contribute to the creation or improvement of new tools, approaches, and concepts including those based on Industry 4.0 technologies.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Statistical methods in quality management - process capability analysis(2007) Czarski, Andrzej; Satora, Kazimierz; Matusiewicz, PiotrStatistical methods belong to the basic quality tools. Among statistical instruments the statistical process control SPC takes particular place. One of the principal tasks of SPC is process capability analysis i.e. the assessment of process potential as for variability regarding expectations defined by specification limits. For capability estimation some indices are used - Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk etc. In this work the way of determining and interpreting capability indices Cp, Cpk of so-called first generation in relation to the process of steel forgings production has been presented.Item type:Book, Access status: Restricted , Zarządzanie jakością z przykładami(Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN, 2005) Hamrol, Adam
