    Występowanie metali szlachetnych w oddziale G-12 O/ZG „Polkowice – Sieroszowice”

    At the „Polkowice – Sieroszowice” Mine, the precious metals bearing zone is situated in transition zone between the oxidized, hematite-stained and the reduced zone. It was confirmed by chemical analysis and mineralogical-petrographic study. The highest contents of gold, platinum and palladium occur in the shale ore, that is a part of the transition zone. In the studied area the precious metals concentrations are ranging as follows: 0,013 - 0,43 ppm Au, 0,012 - 0,38 ppm Pd i 0,003 - 0,35 ppm Pt. It is considered, that Kupferschiefer deposit (KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.) could be classified to a group of Iron Oxide Copper Gold Deposits (IOCG).
