In case of existence of several centres (regions) of rock minerals mining it is essential to define the amount of open-pit for each of them, in relation to their zones of demand. Not complying with this condition leads to the existence of intersecting transport lines of homogeneous production. Its results can be measured in the scale of the country. The present article defines the state of research over the issue concerning balancing production with the demand for rock materials as well as directions for further works.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Postawy studentów uczelni śląskich wobec Autonomii Śląska(Data obrony: 2020-12-11) Petroniec, Małgorzata
Wydział HumanistycznyItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Rola powiatu w rozwoju cywilizacyjnym - przypadek Małopolski(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Stojkow, Maria; Żuchowska-Skiba, DorotaThe main aim of this article is demonstrating the role of the powiat in the civilisation process of the region. We want to show how the tasks which are the result of the act of law are realized in practice, and what the role of the powiat in the civilization process is, according to the powiat authorities, the employees managing the Departments of Development and Promotion, the local councilors and the representatives of the biggest non-governmental organisations in the region. The civilization development has been defined very widely here, as directed social process in result of which a constant increase of some socially essential variables takes place. We have been interested in the influence that powiat has on the economic development, the labour market, the promotion of the region, creating infrastructure for the growth of the civilization potential, and the trans communal cooperation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Specialization and business cycles fluctuations of Polish regions(2015) Warżała, RafałThe aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between the cyclical fluctuations in Poland on a regional perspective and the level of specialization of regional economies. To do this, the correlation between the morphology features of regional business cycles and the level of their specialization was made. The morphology features were represented by such parameters: cycle length, phase length, standard deviation ratio, coefficient of variation ratio and average amplitude of upward and downward phases. The evolution of economic structures was measured by the Krugman specialization index. Assessing the GDP cyclical fluctuations in the Polish regions during 1996–2013, it can be concluded that the regions have different sensitivity to economy “shocks,” both positive and negative. The results of the regional specialization measuring are ambiguous. Most of them appear falling specialization, and the others show stable specialization levels. Despite a few exceptions, a correlation between the level of regional specialization and the degree of sensitivity to economic disturbances can be observed. Regions that are less specialized and have more-diversified production structures show greater resistance to economic fluctuations. This is confirmed by the analysis of the morphology of cycles on a regional basis.
