Wydział Fizyki i Informatyki StosowanejIt was examined a theoretical analysis of the properties of quantum transport in semiconductor quantum rings based on heterostructure containing two-dimensional electron gas in external magnetic field oriented perpendicular to the plane of confinement. A study of magnetic deflection of electron trajectories on Aharonov- Bohm oscillations of conductance was presented. It was demonstrated that the Lorentz force and the elastic scattering inside the ring leads to attenuation of the Aharonov-Bohm oscillations, which was previously uniquely attributed to decoherence effects. Moreover, existence of anomalous transport conditions at high magnetic field with electron trajectory following the opposite path to the Lorentz force. They were identified as due to the Fano interference with localized resonance states whose lifetime is increased by the Lorentz force. A study of multisubband transport was also presented with conclusions that co-existence of the magnetic deflection and the AB oscillations is limited to the lowest subband transport. Moreover, a study of the effect of inelastic scattering on violation of Onsager relation in the system in which a single electron within the channel interacts with another electron localized in a quantum ring placed at a side of the channel. It was demonstrated that basckattering in accompanied by the absorption of the angular momentum by the ring. The energy cost of this absorption depends on the sign of the magnetic field, hence the violation of the Onsager relation. When the inelastic backsattering is blocked by the energy filter of a double barrier the Onsager symmetry is restored.
