    Ustron is beautiful town located in Silesian Beskid. Apart from a many natural and cultural attractions, this area is characterized by large pools of thermal water, whiches are the basis for the of development of renewable energy sources. The healing properties of the thermal water are a positive influence on many diseases. Patients benefit from different treatments carried out on the basis of thermal water in the many spas located there. In addition to treatment, guest of spas can enjoy the tourist attractions located throughout the community. Hiking trails encourage to hiking and cycling tours. This paper thesis describes the geography, geology, topography and water relations of Ustron. Moreover, it also consists of information about accommodation, dining and transportation accessibility. The main objective of the thesis is to present the development of prospects of geothermal energy in the context of balneo-rehabilitation and recreation in the vicinity of the Ustron.
