Analiza wydajności i funkcjonalności replikacji w różnych systemach bazodanowych

Celem niniejszej pracy było przedstawienie zagadnienia replikacji oraz zaprezentowanie istniejących rozwiązań, porównanie ich możliwości i analiza wydajności. Przybliżono niezbędną wiedzę teoretyczną z dziedziny baz danych i systemów rozproszonych, jak również wyszczególniono najważniejsze założenia replikacji i zestawiono je dla wybranych systemów zarządzania. Opisano metodologię eksperymentalnego wyznaczania wydajności replikacji, a wyniki testów przedstawiono na wykresach i omówiono. Zaprezentowano autorską konstrukcję rozszerzenia możliwości replikacji dla systemu MySQL.

New method for data replication in distributed heterogeneous database systems

In the dissertation author focuses on data replication in distributed systems, defining the following thesis: "It can be revealed that Theta replication method, which enables concurrent transactions processing without necessity of usage of distributed locks, provides non-conflicting and highly scalable technique for data replication in heterogeneous database systems". For the purpose of the work and such thesis author conducted series of research tasks. There was designed a new method for data replication, called Theta method, which can be successfully applied for a set of systems with distributed middleware tier. Theta replication method is designed for high availability multi-tier architecture with distributed middleware. Author performed a prototype implementation of the method as well as conducted an evaluation of the method both in simulation environment and in real world system used for continuous monitoring of the Internet.

Replikacja bazy FirebirdSQL w systemie zbierania danych pomiarowych

The aim of the project was to develop application that can perform replication of FirebirdSQL database in collection system of measurment data. Project describes method of logging changes in local database and replication algorithm. Program was written in C# using .NET framework. Application allow user to perform one way, asynchronous replication. Performed tests confirmed that application works correctly. Designed replication algorithm provides data integrity.

System synchronizacji i replikacji dla bazy danych Firebird

The object of the researches was the repliaction and synchronization system for Firebird data base. I did it in a few steps. In first period I was explain two main problems. Next I look at them implementation in a different data base system as MS SQL, ORACLE, MySQL, PostgreSQ and IBM DB2. Telling about Firebird data base and .NET I was found a tools to create my replication system. I used C# to program my application with graphic mode. At the end I tested system in different combination which showed me that it work fine.

Technologia wieloagentowej integracji danych w rozproszonym systemie medycznym

The thesis concerns issues related to the use of multiagent technology in the data integration domain based on an example of a distributed medical system. The author introduces assumptions related to the medical system in question. An overview of its components and logical structure is provided. A formal model of a problem consisting of local replication and data integration over a network is introduced. Two variants of the aim function are presented: minimization of maximal cost and minimization of the total cost of execution of the project. A survey of methods identifying the maximal flow in a computer network, with distinction of single- and multi-commodity transport is carried out. The thesis presents a theory of taking the optimal sequence of decisions under competition or cooperation strategy among managing agents. Challenges specific to multiagent data integration are described. Features of agents, together with the assessment of available multiagent platforms are shown. The author discusses all types of agents existing in the system, in particular a managing agent, a replicating agent, a group of processing agents and a monitoring agent. The methods of optimization of local replication by buffering parameters and choosing parallelism level are described. Finally, comprehensive examples of calculating the optimal sequence are provided.
