    This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the thickness and the accumulation index of Cu in carbonate series and the balance thickness sandstone series in the region of southern elevation Rudna mine. Using a statistical description of the parameters found that the strength of the variability of deposit series is large and the coefficient of variation v exceeds 50%. Analysis of contour maps of the series of deposit made by ordinary kriging showed a decrease in the thickness and abundance of carbonate series with increasing thickness of sandstone series. Carried out at the final stage the analysis of correlation and regression (linear and nonlinear) demonstrated that there is a statistically significant relationship between the studied parameters. Although the correlation coefficient R does not exceed the value of 0.35, the large database sizes for which we considered the relationship ensures that there is a statistically significant relationship. Determination of the relationship between the studied series provides opportunities for preliminary prediction of deposit parameters selected based on regression models.
