Elastic rubber suspensions

Elastic rubber suspensions are an alternative to steel springs (mainly helical springs) which are used in vibratory machines. The paper refers mainly to screens and vibratory feeders, which are generally applied in industry. The rubber suspensions in the form of e.g. rubber sleeves have been known and used for long in screens and vibratory feeders. Their advantages and disadvantages are generally known and therefore many machine-building plants use these elastic elements. However, beside basic elastic elements, there are also other ones which will be discussed in this paper. Their characteristic features are positive; the technology of their production is similar to that of rubber sleeves, but advantages of the operation should instigate machine designers' interest in them and should make them applicable in feeders and screens.

Investigation of the rolling screen

Niniejsza praca dotyczy przesiewaczy zataczających. Są to maszyny złożone z okrągłych kasetonów sitowych, które ułożone jeden nad drugim, stanowiące rzeszoto maszyny. Sita w przesiewaczach zataczających wykonują precesyjny ruch pijanej beczki. Jest to ruch złożony, przestrzenny i dlatego maszyny te są szczególnie przeznaczone do przesiewania materiałów drobno i bardzo drobno uziarnionych. Autorzy niniejszego opracowania zajmują się przesiewaczami napędzanymi dwoma symetrycznymi, zsynchronizowanymi motowibratorami rotacyjnymi. Napęd ten jest stosunkowo prosty i pozwala na osiągnięcie dobrych właściwości procesowych maszyny przesiewającej. Badania tego przesiewacza są wykonywane z użyciem kruszywa wapiennego. Celem pracy było zaprezentowanie studium konstrukcyjnego przesiewaczy zataczających jak i wyników badań procesowych tych maszyn.

Motion simulation of industrial screen meshes

Niniejsza praca prezentuje opis metody symulacji ruchu sit w przesiewaczach swobodnie drgających opracowanych i badanych w Katedrze Aparatury Procesowej Politechniki Łódzkiej. Jak wiadomo, rodzaj ruchu drgającego przesiewaczy, oraz parametry tego ruchu, takie jak np. wskaźnik podrzutu, mają decydujący wpływ na skuteczność procesu rozdzielania mieszanin ziarnistych. Możliwość symulacji tego ruchu jeszcze przed zbudowaniem konkretnej maszyny pozwala zaoszczędzić zarówno czas jak i pieniądze, jest też istotnym wsparciem późniejszych badań kinematycznych, gdyż pozwala zweryfikować poprawność działania elektronicznych układów pomiarowych.

Ruch drgający rzeszota przesiewacza dwuczęstościowego

The present study demonstrates the results of the research programme carried out at the Department of Process Equipment, Technical University of Lodz, and concerns double-frequency screens. It is widely known that the shape of trajectory in the oscillating motion of the screen has a relevant meaning for obtaining of the best processing properties of the machine. Therefore, the trajectories of oscillating motion, which will lead to the intensive segregation of the grain layer moving on the sieve, have been searched for a long time. Seemingly, it is possible to obtain a double-frequency screen. Two rotational vibrators of the same or different static moments are applied for the drive of such a screen. As the name indicates, it is a screen which is characterised by two different rotational speeds of those drive vibrators. Presented investigations were aimed at the determination of the experimental screen kinematics on a semi-technical scale. On the basis of the research results the design assumptions of the industrial machine aimed at fine-grained screening have been elaborated.

The purpose of the article is to draw attention to the issue of movies and comic books relationship. Nowadays we can see numerous cinematic versions of graphic novels. Especially what is so called »super hero movies«. Historical development of both movies and comic books was the same. There were several thematic borrowings. Also popular culture had significant influence on these media. It is possible among movies and graphic novels to distinguish inspiration, adaptation and screening. Comic book movies are not a new phenomenon. But its character seems a bit more complicated.
