    The purpose of M. A. thesis was to demonstrate the possibilities of modern design and regulations for the stabilization of landslides which formed on the road embankments and elimination of their consequences. Extensively illustrated geotechnical characteristics of the tools used for this purpose and the possibility of combining them, allowing comprehensive protection of road embankments. Moreover, the work deals with the diversity of landslide and the causes that are most often responsible for the formation of risk. It also presents examples of comprehensive usage of some of the described techniques for the efficient solution of the problem.
