The Upper Jurassic organic-rich Mikulov marls represent world-class source rocks. These 1400 m thick organic-rich rocks with TOC value 0.2 $\div$ 10% sourced oils in the Vienna Basin and Carpathian subthrust in Czech Republic and Austria. The similar source rocks perhaps exist in the deeper subthrust areas in Poland. The Vendryne Formation rocks do not contain significant amount of organic carbon. The increased TOC was encountered within the Verovice Formation and uppermost part of Hradiste Formatio. These rocks represent global anoxic event OAE 1b. Verovice Formation contains potential source rocks for the Outer Carpathians systems with reservoirs various in age.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Hydrodynamiczne modelowanie basenów osadowych na przykładzie basenu permskiego monokliny przedsudeckiej(2005) Zawisza, Ludwik; Piesik-Buś, WacławaTheoretical fundamentals of modelling and hydrodynamic classification of sedimentary oil basins are presented in the paper. Hydrodynamic classification of oil basins is based on the effects differentiating the liquid phase, especially the movement of reservoir fluids. Definition of this type of hydrodynamic basin lies in determining its development stage at present: before, during or after the invasion of infiltration waters. Bearing in mind data of reservoir pressures distribution, directions and flow rates of groundwaters, as well as properties of reservoir fluids, three main types of sedimentary basins have been distinguished: juvenile (centrifugal), transient (centripetal) and mature (static). Physical phenomena and interrelations taking place between accumulated hydrocarbons and the accompanying reservoir waters and pressures predestine the first type as most perspective; the third type is usually eliminated as non-perspective. The so far final results of hydrodynamic analyses for the Permian basin in the Fore-Sudetic Monocline prompt the conclusion that the basin is a very perspective juvenile (centrifugal) basin.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Litostratygrafia osadów górnej jury i dolnej kredy zachodniej części Karpat zewnętrznych (propozycja do dyskusji)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Golonka, Jan; Vašíček, Zdenĕk; Skupien, Petr; Waśkowska, Anna; Krobicki, Michał; Cieszkowski, Marek; Ślączka, Andrzej; Słomka, TadeuszUpper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous deposits are part of the Outer Carpathians nappes: Magura, Silesian and Sub-Silesian-Żdanice-Waschberg, and are known in olistholites, which occur within different units of the Outer Carpathians. Authors systematized lithostratigraphical units according to their primary position in sedimentary basins and other sedimentary areas. Magura Basin originated in Middle Jurassic and proto-Silesian Basin in Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous times together with syn- and post-rift deposits. Sub-Silesian-Żdanice sedimentary area originated in Late Cretaceous, and during Jurassic and Early Cretaceous times was northern part of the proto-Silesian Basin. The source areas for olistholites have been northern slope and shelf of the proto-Silesian Basin and submerged intra-oceanic ridges (cordilleras).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Stratygrafia polskich Karpat fliszowych pomiędzy Bielskiem-Białą a Nowym Targiem(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Golonka, Jan; Waśkowska, AnnaJurassic, Cretaceous, Paleogene, and Neogene allochtonous rocks of the Outer Carpathians build up the complex area between Bielsko-Biała and Nowy Targ. These deposits belong recently to the Magura, Fore-Magura, Silesian, Sub-Silesian and Skole Nappes. The present authors provided the systematic arrangement of the lithostratigraphic units according to their occurrence within the original basins and other sedimentary areas. The Magura Basin was formed in the Middle Jurassic. The deep--water sedimentation of radiolarites and carbonates dominated at the beginning, since the Late Cretaceous the flysch sedimentation prevailed. The proto-Silesian Basin developed during Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous times with the syn-rift and post-rift formations. The Silesian, Fore-Magura, Skole Basins formed during Late Cretaceous. Fore-Silesian sedimentary area included the western end of the Sub-Silesian Ridge and slopes of the Silesian and Skole Basins. The western end of the Skole Basin is located within the investigated area. The slope deposits of the Sub-Silesian type and separated basinal flysch facies occurred there. The basins existed during Late Eocene to Early Miocene times: the remnant piggy-back Magura Basin and, in the northern part of the accretionary prism the Krosno Basin with Menilite and Krosno Formations.
