Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Innovative hydromechanical cleaning of mine water sedimentation tanks in underground headings(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2021) Biel, BronisławIn mines, water from natural inflows as well as process water from fire protection systems is usually stored in sedimentation tanks, located primarily at the lowest level of the mine. Such water usually contains mechanical contaminants, undergoing the process of sedimentation. The article presents a method enabling the cleaning of mine water sedimentation tanks. The method involves jet mining, hydrotransport and segregation into sediment (i.e. the solid fraction) and water. The consistence of sediment obtained after segregation makes the former transportable (e.g. using an appropriate conveyor/feeder), whereas water can be reused subsequently in the jet mining of sediment. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaGłównym celem niniejszej pracy było opisanie związku między parametrami fizyczno-mechanicznymi a cechami petrograficznymi piaskowców jurajskich ze złoża w Rytlowie. Badania takie pozwoliły potwierdzić określone przez różnych autorów warunki powstawania tych skał związane z procesami sedymentacji i diagenezy, które ostatecznie miały wpływ na ich własności. W pracy wykorzystano 26 próbek piaskowca, które przyporządkowano do 5 odmian i przeznaczono do badań parametrów fizyczno-mechanicznych. Dzięki temu uzyskano wartości takich parametrów jak nasiąkliwość wagowa, gęstość objętościowa i wytrzymałość na ściskanie, a na podstawie badań petrograficznych określono skład mineralny oraz uziarnienie tych skał. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW rezultacie badań prowadzonych na rdzeniu wiertniczym z otworu rozpoznawczego G116D, z rejonu KWB „Bełchatów”, opracowano profil litofacjalny osadów jury górnej. Wśród osadów górnojurajskich tego otworu wyróżniono: wapienie (koralowcowe, oolitowe, onkolitowe, biodetrytyczne, gąbkowe, margliste), margle, oraz mułowce. Wszystkie tworzą w sumie 12 asocjacji facjalnych, o łącznej miąższości 283,3 m. Dzięki korelacji z podobnie wykształconymi osadami w Górach Świętokrzyskich, ustalono wiek tych osadów na kimeryd. Środowiskiem ich depozycji była rampa węglanowa epikontynentalnego morza. Twarde dna obserwowane w obrębie profilu świadczą również o przerwach w sedymentacji na obszarach ich występowania.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Piaskowcowo-zlepieńcowe formy skałkowe - więcej niż atrakcja turystyczna(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Strzeboński, Piotr AndrzejNatural, thrown open to the sightseeing rockies are undoubtedly a tourist attraction, but furthermore they constitute a precious source of geological and geomorphological information. A special scientific-cognitive and teaching value of the rocky forms is based on the possibility of carrying out direct observations on the character of deposits and on shaping these forms by exogenic processes. A good example of the rocky forms with such values is represented by sandstone-conglomerate rockies in the Outer Carpathians. One of the regions where such rockies occur is the Wiśnicz Foothil, where, among others, the Brodziński Stones (after a poet), the Mushroom Stone (after a mushroom-like shape) and the Chronowskie Tors (after the Chronów town) are localized. The Mushroom Stone serves to demonstrate general, common features of the origin of the rocky forms from the Istebna Beds (the Istebna Formation) observed by the author also in the Moravian Beskid Mts. and Silesian Beskid Mts. and the Small Beskid Mts. Epigenetic arcade structures, cellular structures (honey comb structures) and bowl structures form characteristic relief of rockies. Wydział Inżynierii Materiałowej i CeramikiItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Sedimentary response to tectonic uplift of the Dukla basin margin recorded at Skrzydlna - the Menilite Beds (Oligocene), Outer Carpathians, S Poland(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Siemińska, Aneta; Starzec, Krzysztof; Godlewski, Paweł; Wendorff, MarekThe Menilite Beds (Oligocene of Polish Flysch Carpathians) at Skrzydlna crops out in a structurally complex zone of the Fore-Magura Unit, which is tectonically overridden by Magura Nappe thrust form the S. The exposed sedimentary suite, representing the Dukla Basin, consists of fine-grained, well organised strata deposited in a low-energy, deep marine basin, which are abruptly overlain by poorly organised, coarse sandy conglomerate that forms a Mass Transport Deposit (MTD) complex. The MTD contains large boulders of extrabasinal rocks, massive sandstone beds with intrabasinal mudstone clasts, and slump sheets of sandstones. Above rests a fining- upwards sequence of sandstone beds interlayered with mudstones. The fine-grained facies reappear above to terminate the exposed succession. Erosional contacts and rapid facies changes, both vertical and lateral, are characteristic for the MTD unit. The sandstone-mudstone unit above contains laterally migrating erosional channels filled with massive sandy conglomerate in the lower part. Turbidites of varying density and completeness of internal structures that occur above are accompanied by an association of mixed facies including large-scale dune cross-bedding. Mineralogically, the sandstones are quartz arenites, sub-lithic arenites and wackes. Calcarenite grains – bioclasts, micrite and marl occur in substantial proportions only in the uppermost part of the succession. The point-counting data plotted on Qm-F-Lt diagram are clustered within the recycled fields: quartzose and transitional. Mineralogical maturity of the sandstones has the tendency to decrease from the sub-MTD strata upwards via the MTD unit to the lower part of the sandstone-mudstone complex, then it increases to the youngest sandstone beds with carbonate grains. For example, the grain composition analysis of majority of rock materials and also products being manufactured synthetically as abrasive powders needs to be conducted for the grain sizes from millimeter part (sieve analysis) to a few micrometers (sedimentation analysis) or even below this limit. Thus, there is a need for relevant method of one sort of data conversion to second one. This problem is of special significance in the case of wells that are either abandoned wells or to be closed. The selection criteria for disposal wells and range of necessary tests and analyses of post-exploitation wells' construction designed for injection of reservoir water are presented in the paper. The results of laboratory analyses of reservoir water of known physicochemical properties were used for determining and eliminating original factors favorable to the colmatation of the near-well zone. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaCarboniferousdeposits located in the area of Wielkopolska Basin and Fore-Sudetic Homoclineare the material of studies on the effects of sedimentation conditions on the parameters of the reservoir rock. These works were studied on the drilling profiles of Paproć gas deposits in the north-western part of Monocline. The Carboniferous complex is represented by quartz arenites, quartz wackes, claystones and siltstones. These are the gravity flow sludges generated in the submarine fans in the deep water conditions. Petrophysical parameters interpretation of these rocks allowed to make the estimation of the pore space and classification of Carboniferous oil complex in the area. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaOccurrence of group of tors built by massive limestone is a distinctive feature of Kraków-Częstochowa Upland morphology. The co-occurrence of pseudonodular limestone is characteristic for the development of massive limestone. The main components of both are microbialites and siliceous sponges. Locally the thin-bedded limestone is present, which implies the stage of disintegration of carbonate buildup. The deposition of rock-forming material occured within the uplift of sea bottom, which presumably formed an isolated carbonate platform. The sedimentation took place during the Middle-Late Oxfordian.
