Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Bioprzyswajalność metali ciężkich z pyłów atmosferycznych wielkich aglomeracji miejskich(Data obrony: 2010-03-09) Dzik, Ewa
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaFour dust samples were collected from the roof of the bus stops at different locations in Krakow. The solids were characterized with respect to their phase composition (XRD), morphology (SEM) and chemical reactivity. The objective was to estimate the mobility of Cd, Zn, Pb, Fe, and Mn. The modified Tessier’s extraction, bioavailability test (TCLP test with the use of acetate) and phytoavailability test (using EDTA) were applied. The results indicate that the elements in question are present mostly in relatively stable solid form, hardly mobilized by aggressive chemical treatment. This may indicate that the most mobile fraction of these elements was already washed away by atmospheric precipitation under the conditions of deposition.
