Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena potencjalnej migracji metali ciężkich w zwałach historycznych kopalń rud $Zn-Pb$ (rejon Lgoty)(Data obrony: 2012-05-07) Wesołowska, Magdalena
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe diploma work show concentration and potential migration of heavy metals like Zn, Pb and Cd which were taken from two different dump in the Lgota area. Metals distribution was related with historical ore mining in this area. Samples of soil were investigated with the use of sequential extraction procedure (BCR). Concentration of Zn, Pb and Cd were investigated with the use of atomic absorption spectrometry. Measurement performed also includes pH and value of density. BCR procedure characterizes metal fraction by selective targeting and releasing metals bound in certain geochemical phases, such as carbonate, iron and manganese oxide and hydroxide, sulfidic organic and silicate. The results shows high concentration of Zn, Cd and Pb in Lgota area. It is mainly related with weathering of rocks. Lgota area could be threatened by Cd and Pb because these heavy metals occur as easily mobile.
