    This paper compares the popular software for virtualization. The first part is a theoretical introduction of virtualization, explains what the virtualization is, basic concepts and typical aspects. Further the typical applications and advantages of virtual infrastructures have been described. It also presents popular software for virtualization. The second part of this paper considers the efficiency of virtual machines. It was the performance comparison of software for virtualization.
