Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe paper presents results surface geochemical surveys carried out in the year 1992 on north parts of Fore-Sudetic Monocline in Jarocin - Kotlin area. The paper intended to assess relation between surface geochemical survey results and geological model of deposit interpreted on the basis of the newest geophysical and geological surveys. The surveys were conducted along 9 profiles by soil gas method. The profiles were running by traces of the earlier completed seismic measurements. The measured concentrations results surrendered statistical evaluation and the next made interpretation of collected data and compared with the newest seismic profiles to investigate conclusion with subsurface geological structure. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThesis is the interpretation of the results of surface geochemical surveys carried out in the of Mirocin-Jaroslaw (Carpathian Foredeep), in light of recent geological and seismic surveys. Aim of this study is to identify and geochemical characteristics of the surface image of the natural gas fields Mirocin and Jaroslaw, and the correlation of the results of geophysical and geological research. Surface geochemical studies were carried out using free-gas method and made along six geochemical profiles. The results of this study allowed the separation of the four zones of increased hydrocarbon content in the soil at the present site. Three anomalous zones are related to the occurrence of Mirocin, Jaroslaw and Ujezna.
