    Identyfikacja wybranych zanieczyszczeń organicznych w sąsiedztwie terenów przemysłowych w Dębicy

    The aim of this research was to evaluate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon’s pollution of the soil in the near vicinity of industrial plants producing tires, paints and varnishes located in Dębica. 22 soil samples were collected around the tire company Dębica S.A. and paint factory Tikkurila Polska S.A.. Organic contaminants were extracted from the samples using solvent extraction method and the resulting substance was analyzed using gas chromatography. The main focus of the analysis were polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons: naphthalene, phenanthrene, anthracene, fluoranthene, benzo(a)anthracene, chrysene, benzo(a)pyrene and benzo(a)fluoranthene. Additionally, the samples were subjected to pyrolitic analysis using the Rock-Eval 6 apparatus. The results did not confirm any relationship between the location of the samples in relation to the plants and soil samples contamination. Samples that included substantially higher than allowed levels of pollutants were mostly located in close proximity of the roads, which can indicate that traffic is the main source of organic contamination in this area.
