It di¬scusses methods for supporting the operation of distributed energy systems, modeling components of wind power plants, de¬signing and validating modern wind turbines, and the outcomes of research on innovative technologies such as microscale solar in¬stallations (a solar chimney with heat storage, photovoltaic modu¬les equipped with water-based cooling and cleaning systems), and high-temperature heat storage. The chapter also covers methods of modifying absorbers in organic cells and the fabrication and testing of thin film oxide cells and optical electrochromic filters for space applications.
