    Welding sequence analysis

    Numerical analysis of the residual stresses and strains by the FEM after the welding process of selected structural elements is presented. Experimental investigations shows that the difference between numerical and practical investigation might be minor than 10%. The result were obtained when the MAG process was employed to weld several, typical structural elements. There exist important application of the numerical method presented which support the plant engineers to establish better welding sequence for lower stresses and/or strains.
