    This paper present the method of star identification realized by GIS software using functionality of spatial databases. The paper discusses issues of stars identification and used for this technology. It was shown that it is possible to effectively identify stars inside spatial databases management systems. This work present also acceleration method of databases using graphics processors and NVIDIA CUDA technology.
