Wydział Inżynierii Mechanicznej i RobotykiThe modelling of the anatomical structures of pelvis and femoral bone with implanted endoprosthesis of hip joint have been presented in the doctoral dissertation. Various solutions of clinical endoprosthesis: cemented and uncemented ones of different material configuration in movement zone and varied constructions of stems and cups have been considered. The diagnostics of spiral computer tomography has been used to model the anatomical structures. The different solutions of endoprosthesis together with simultaneous geometrical analysis have been put in reconstructed in 3D anatomical objects. The optimal location of endoprosthesis in conditions of individual patient has been determinated. The tree-dimensional system of loads and constraints has been introduced on the basis of the previously carried out deliberation of biomechanical walk of man. The distribution of stresses, according Huber-Misses-Hencky hypothesis and resultant displacements, has been carried out in numerical models. The three basic cases of load of hip joint: standing on two legs, standing on one leg and the contact of heel with the ground have been analyzed. The cases of increase of load during walk have additionally been analyzed. The results of the work determine the basis to complex elaboration to select the proper system of endoprosthesis for an individual patient.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Projekt przyrządu rehabilitacyjnego stawu kolanowego oraz biodrowego(Data obrony: 2021-01-28) Chabior, Jakub
Wydział Elektrotechniki, Automatyki, Informatyki i Inżynierii BiomedycznejItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zjawiska biomineralogiczne w endoprotezach stawu biodrowego(2018) Pawlikowski, MaciejTests were performed on elements of hip joint endoprostheses regarding aging of the materials, structures of the metals as well as the cements used to fix the implant to the bone. »Worn out« elements of endoprostheses after different periods of functioning were also studied It was determined that aging of the polymers leads to their cracking, which shortens the time of proper functioning of the acetabula and the whole artificial joints. In the »working« metal elements (femoral heads) creation of micro slag bits in the steel was observed. Those bits break out from the steel during the functioning of the hip joint, damaging the surface finishing of the head of the implant and the inner surface of the acetabulum. Long-term load on the acetabula leads to changes in the atomic structure of the polypropylene that they are built of. That causes the acetabula to wear out faster. Two-component fixing cements that were tested contained air bubbles as a result of mixing the components. Their presence weakens the endoprostheses stabilization, accelerating the necessity to replace it.
