    Within this work a number of issues related to the anisotropy were presented. In the second chapter the basic concepts of anisotropy, transversely isotropic centers, symmetry, homogeneity and heterogeneity and isotropy were described. The next chapter presents the rich history of research on the anisotropy. It appeared in such names as: Rudzki, Postma, Thomsen, Helbig, Winterstein et al. The paper also discusses the development of theories about the anisotropy of rock medium. It then describes methods of measurement of anisotropy: the method of ground, hole, and intermediate. In the remainder of the influence of anisotropy on the basic procedures for processing and interpretation. The last chapter is devoted to proposals for the work.
