    The aim of this thesis is to create a Sustainable Development Strategy for the municipality of Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski. The municipality of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski was characterized, as a base of main values and resources. This allowed to create SWOT analysis and define the strengths and weaknesses and opportunities and threats for the development of the municipality. With the help of this analysis the vision and the mission of the development and the strategic objectives and tasks were defined. The commune should concentrate, on this aiming for the sustainable development. The thesis discusses and assesses the currently existing Sustainable Development Strategy, which was helpful in developing a new strategy. Thesis developed in the Sustainable Development Strategy Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski Municipality is to be proposed as changes for development of the municipality.
