Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Ekologiczne i technologiczne osiągnięcia w 40-letniej historii górnictwa otworowego siarki w Polsce(2007) Hajdo, Stanisław; Klich, Jerzy; Galiniak, GrzegorzThis paper presents main concept of borehole mining technology, which determined survival of the only one sulphur mine in Osiek (Poland). The main achievts in land reclamation, liquidation and development of mining grounds were also shown.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Mineralogical characteristic of the Czarkowy sulphur deposit(Data obrony: 2016-09-28) Nowicka, Małgorzata
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe Czarkowy sulphur deposit located in the northern part of Polish Carpathian Foredeep is aged Badenian. Sediments originated in the evaporite basin contain mainly carbonates with gypsum , native sulphur and significant amount of strontium within the sulphur-bearing ore. High concentration of strontium in the Czarkowy sulphur deposit could be associated with epigenetic enrichment, related with change of chemical conditions in the coastal marginal zones of Badenian basin. Presence of geochemical barrier in the mixing zone between aquifers and saline brines allowed for precipitation of strontium minerals. Euhedral well-developed bipyramidal crystals of strontium sulphates are found in cavities and pores of limestones with gypsum. Moreover, study of heavy and secondary minerals shows that celestine crystals occur in the overburden of the deposit as well.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Możliwości wznowienia eksploatacji w północno-wschodniej części złoża siarki rodzimej „Basznia”(Data obrony: 2019-01-07) Woźna, Karolina
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaW pracy przedstawiona została charakterystyka i występowanie złóż siarki w Polsce ze szczegółowym opisem złoża siarki rodzimej „Basznia”. Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena możliwości wznowienia eksploatacji złoża siarki rodzimej „Basznia”(Data obrony: 2014-10-13) Merta, Ludwika
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn this paper were presented sulphur deposits in Poland - their geological structure, status of the specification and management. The possibility of resumption of the sulphur extracting was presented on example of „Basznia” deposit. The geological and technological factors that determine the proper use of borehole mining (BHM) sulphur output were presented. An analysis of the impact of sulphur mining on the environment was made. Solutions that significantly reduce the chemical impact on groundwater, surface water, soil and atmospheric air associated with extracting resumption was shown. The final section refers to current state of the mine and submits relevant conclusion.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Rekultywacja terenów posiarkowych w rejonie tarnobrzeskim a perspektywy rozwoju turystyki zrównoważonej(Data obrony: 2014-07-14) Kukla, Marta
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaTarnobrzeg is a city located in the northern part of the Subcarpathian. Until recently, Tarnobrzeg and its surroundings belonged to Poland's largest center of mining and processing of sulfur. After the ending of exploitation, the area was reclaimed. There were chosen mainly water, recreation, forestry and agricultural directions. On the reclaimed areas formed aquatic tanks which are surrounded by plants. The area has many tourist, cultural and natural attractions. This paper describes the geographical location, geological structure, topography and hydrogeology. In addition, there is information about the accommodation facilities, catering and communication availability. The main objective of this paper is to show the prospects for sustainable tourism development in the areas the reclamation was performed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The content of the forms of calcium and sulphur in the spoil tip of initial soil in the sulphur mine »Machów« after many years of its agricultural and forestry land use(2012) Kowalik, Stanisław; Wójcik, Jerzy GrzegorzThis paper contains the results of the studies on the formation of the content of selected forms of calcium and sulphur in the grounds of the rubble heap »Machów« managed by forestry and agriculturally managed, after about 30 years of reclamation measures. Before the reclamation the grounds forming the outer rubble heap of the Sulphur Mine »Machów« were characterized by high content of calcium and sulphur – components of antagonist properties in terms of soil chemical properties, especially the reaction. Thirty years of management as forest or agricultural land caused a significant decrease in the content of different forms of calcium and sulphur only near the surface, in the case of agricultural management up to 20 cm, depth and forest management– 30 cm. The content of calcium, especially $CaCO_{3}$, despite a small decrease compared to the initial state, is still in the class of optimal contents, due to the structure-forming and reaction stabilizing impact and the degree of sorption complex saturation with alkalis. Despite still a high content of sulphur, also in the surface horizon, molar concentration of calcium in the ground is many times higher, which, in a long time perspective, guarantees the stability of reaction and other chemical properties.|
