The main purpose of this article is to explore religious inspirations which appear in contemporary fashion and to reveal the differences in introducing particular religions.Fashion industry uses eastern religious motifs to strengthen the authority of the fashion world, on the other hand, associates naked female bodies with Christian or Muslim symbolism as a refusal of religious dictation. In the article, it is proved that religious inspirations appearing in fashion became a sign of a wider phenomena, which is related to the process of secularization and at the same time exploration of new forms of spirituality. Also addresses the question of fashion which exposes the repressive character of religion which intends to control human impulses and sexuality, as well as the problem of commercialization of eastern practices. Semiotic analysis of photography allowed me to test and prove the hypotheses raised earlier. This research method recognizes not only what the literal layer of photography is but also the whole cultural context which includes artist, his work and receiver.

On solvability of some difference-discrete equations

Multidimensional difference equations in a discrete half-space are considered. Using the theory of periodic Riemann problems a general solution and solvability conditions in discrete Lebesgue spaces are obtained. Some statements of boundary value problems of discrete type are given.

Rakija-nation’s wine culture exploration of wine presence and role in Serbian culture

The article discusses the presence of wine in Serbian culture as being rooted in the nation’s history, the symbolical meaning the beverage has acquired, and the role it has played in the Serbian identity over centuries. The purpose is to show that wine can function as a marker of cultural boundaries and thus an instrument in the process of identification, as it was in the case for Christian Serbs under the Ottoman Empire. Wine remains deeply rooted in the culture even once it has apparently lost this function. Several juxtapositions with the role of rakija, another culturally meaningful beverage in Serbia, are offered. Given the historical perspective, the paper draws in the argumentation upon literature, both scientific and belles-lettres, supported by observation methods for current developments.
