Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis M.S. thesis shows geological conditions of laying deposits of KWK Krupiński. The coal field Krupiński which is located in SW part of the Upper Silesia Coal Basin (USCB) has been exploiting energy coal type 32.1-33 and coke coal type 34.1-35.2. On the basis of the chemical analysis results released by KWK Krupiński there were carried out technological parameters maps: calorific value (20589 – 33617 kJ/kg), the content of volatile (31,59-42,24%), total sulphur (0,41-1.49%), ash content (3,12 - 56,58%), moisture content (0.43-7,58%), heat of combustion (29324 – 35630 kJ/kg). Released lithostratigraphic profiles from boreholes (Suszec 4, Suszec Old IG-9, Suszec 30, Suszec 31, Suszec 33) were used to perform correlation between orzeskie beds from NW – SE and SW - NE. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis M.S.-thesis shows geological conditions of laying hard coal deposits in the Ruda Beds of KWK Jas-Mos, which is located in SW part of the Upper Silesia Coal Basin. Thickness of the Ruda Beds range between 315 to 507 m, whilst bottom of these beds is located on the depth from 648,3 m to 1018 m. Clastic rocks dominate in profiles (30 to 64% sandstones, whilst mudstones and claystones are 5,4 to 62 %). The coal-seams range between 2,4 do 6,0 % of the profiles. The coal-field Jas-Mos has been exploiting in the Ruda Beds mainly coke coal type (35.1, 35.2A, 35.2B). The calorific value of these coals is from 29115 to 33134 kJ/kg), the total sulphur is 0,6 to 0,9 %), and ash content is 5 to 13 %. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis M.S. thesis shows geological conditions of Jaworzno bituminous coal deposits, which is operates by the Sobieski Mine. The coal field is located in the E part of the Upper Silesia Coal Basin (USCB). In the Sobieski mining area has been exploiting energy coal type 31.1 and 31.2 in the łaziskie and orzeskie beds. The calorific value ranges between 20 and 24 MJ/kg, the average content total sulphur is 1,6 % and ash content is 15,75 %. In this work were introduced the characteristics stratigraphy and lithology coal-bearing strata and tectonic deposits. On the basis released lithostratigraphic profiles from boreholes were carried out an analysis of technological parameters of the coal seams łaziskie and orzeskie beds and it were used to performed top and bottom maps of this beds. Also made thickness of selected coal seams maps. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe thesis presents a comparison of the technological quality coal from deposits Złoczew and Szczerców. Evaluation of the quality of coal based on statistical analysis of technological parameters and classification according to the Polish standard coal for energy purposes. Parameters have been analyzed , such as moisture , the calorific value in the oper, the ash content , the total sulfur , content of the element C, and the content of harmful cadmium and lead. The analysis showed that the lignite from the deposit Szczerców and Złoczew significantly different from each other. Among the studied parameters of coal from the deposit Złoczew and Szczerców greatest differences show calorific value, moisture and ash content. Coefficients of variation of parameters of coal from both these fields has a similar value, the greatest variability shows cadmium and the smallest element of C. Based on the analysis, classified coal from deposits Złoczew and Szczerców as a soft brown coal huminic low for direct burning in the rough.
