Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn the town Sól in Beskid Żywiecki there are located springs “Słanica” and “Warzelniane”, which provide saline. Its presence was also documented with 6 boring from 193 meters to 2000 meters depth. It is sodium-chloride, iodide water of mineralisation about 40 g/dm3. It characterises with heightened temperatures in interval between 24-38°C, classified as a thermal water. Because of lack of any investments this water has not been utilisation and used adequately to its properties yet. It has been shown the possibilities of using thermal saline from Sól considering their physico-chemical composition, geological and hydrogeological conditions and lode parameters. Suggestion of the main directions of theirs use in balneotherapy, recreation and heating have been given to rise attractiveness of described region.
