Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza ważniejszych parametrów strukturalnych złoża węgla brunatnego Szczerców(Data obrony: 2013-09-27) Dzierwa, Dariusz
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn following thesis, main structural parameters of Szczercow lignite deposit were analysed. As a result of laboratory tests, including selected boreholes’ profiles examination, regional parameters variability maps were created. Numerous anomalies in individual parameters distribution had been indentified, what confirms a presence of sendimentological and tectonic disturbance in investigated area. Multilayer lignite complex ranges from a few up to 220 m, with average coal seam thickness of 90 m. Undertaken lignite quality analysis leads to the conclusion, that lignite from Szczercow deposit is of an average technological quality and contains 53% water, 23% ash, 1.05% sulphur and high (10%) calcium carbonate quantity, due to carbonaceous substrate pieces. With average calorific value of 1900 kcal/kg (8.0 MJ/kg) it fulfils quality requirements and can be combusted in located nearby Belchatow Power Station. As a result of Belchatow gradual reserves depletion, as well as increasing energy demand, exploitation of Szczercow lignite deposit is necessary.
